Grandia III is a 3D game with a very good quality and has a very beautiful story,
in this game as the lead role are:

"YUKI" which means snow in Japanese language is a stubborn child who idolized the legendary pilot Schmidt, aims to be the second pilot to fly across the ocean and touching the clouds.

"ALFINA" (person who is able to communicate with gods and other celestial beings), who is on a pilgrimage to the Arcriff Sanctuary. She is a softspoken girl and the next in line for the Communicators after Emelious, her brother. She seeks to find her brother, who has, for reasons unknown, abandoned his duties bitterly and disappeared.

"MIRANDA" is Yuki's mother, though Yuki refers to her by her first name. She knows her son inside and out. She is very supportive of her son, and often speaks well of him to Alfina for his benefit. She ends up accompanying Alonso on his journey to complete his personal world map. Despite being Yuki's mother she looks just as old as him.

"ALONSO" The sailor who travels the seas of the world in his own boat. On land, he is a gambler and a womaniser, but in the sea, his eyes regain their sparkle, and his soul burns with dependable passion. He claims to know Schmidt, but nobody believes him.

"ULF" is an uncomplicated fellow who has lived in the Valley of Dragons for most of his life. Like the rest of his village, he has a love for food and simplicity. However, due to his parents' strict attitude he left the village behind, earning the dissent of many of the villagers. He and his dragon, Shiba, have made some acquaintance with Alonso and Schmidt.

"DAHNA"A 23-year-old who has been the leader of her village ever since her love, Raven, mysteriously disappeared. Since then, she has grown cynical, scoffing feelings of love. Some view her as harsh and cold hearted, but those that follow her know that she is really a compassionate person. She believes that cards have an influence or reflection of life, and uses them to attack and cast magic.

"HECT" comes from a world that used to be full of hidden beauty, but has now been entirely turned into crystal. Hect is capable of breaking the link between her world and Yuki's via the music from her violin; an instrument which she also uses as a weapon in battle by playing melodies.
